Frankie Gardiner : The Mountain

The exhibition  consists of thirteen paintings and seven watercolours on paper. The scenes depicted are certainly quite close to the quiet and unassuming life the the artist choose to be her's many years ago.  Away from the large cities that had been her familiar surroundings.
These paintings and works on paper carry with them a sense of peacefulness but also of mystery and discovery.  What the artist sees in nature and relays back via her small and intimate paintings and watercolours on paper allows invites the viewer to be part of her world.

As if her contemplation of nature could be contagious. The experience of pristine and nature can easily be a transformative experience. What Frankie Gardiner has learned and gained living the life she was aspiring to, observing, being around and with the idyllic beauty and complexity of nature can lead the viewer into that place. But does that space exist really or is it just a dream?

This world seems safe, this world seems so full of serenity (serenity leads to happiness perhaps ? (I would like to think so). These paintings might be quite modest in size and unassuming yet they seem complete. Complete because what they depict is perhaps where we should or what we should be aspiring to. Thank you Frankie for pointing out the way for the rest of us ! (and please..don't stop doing so..🙆‍♂️😉
